Captain Gabrielle Barnes
Born and raised in Fort Walton Beach Florida, Captain Gabrielle Barnes grew up fishing the Emerald Coast's green waters with her father since she was knee high. Starting a fishing charter was a childhood dream of hers that she made a reality in 2017 by starting Lady Luck Adventures. Shortly after graduating high school, she began traveling far and wide in search of the perfect fish. While living in Orlando for 5 years she grew a new love for sight fishing when she was introduced to chasing redfish of every size in the Mosquito Lagoon. Her love for the hunt continued when she moved to the Bahamas and picked up a fly rod to scout bone fish on the sandy flats and crystal blue waters of Andros.
Through her travels, Captain Gabrielle Barnes has gained enough experience to trade some epic fish stories with the best. Whether it's stalking bone-fish on the flats of the Bahamas with a fly or catching giant Mekong catfish in Thailand on a chicken thigh, they are stories you won't want to miss. After years of traveling and fishing in some of the most sought after fishing destinations in the world, she has decided there is no other fishery quite as diverse and lush as Destin, FL. The snow-white beaches and emerald green water are definitely a plus but ultimately it was the fish in Destin that had her hooked all along!
She has been in the maritime industry for 7 years and while working aboard a navy vessel she attained a Coast Guard issued 100-ton license. Working with the military on a well managed and structured vessel she has attained the knowledge she needs to provide safety for her clients in a professional manner while also showing them to a great time on the water.
She has a wide variety of fishing experience to offer her clients in her Destin Florida Fishing Charter but specializes in near shore wreck fishing and fishing the flats for all the inshore species. She is on a quest to show the world that chasing your passion and following your dreams can be both rewarding emotionally and lucrative financially. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade wind in your sails and explore, dream, discover, fish, and love.
Captain Alance Turnbow
Capt. Alance Turnbow was born in Detroit Michigan and moved to the Fort Walton Beach area over 19 years ago, which officially makes him a local! He was introduced to fishing by his grandparents at the age of 2 and immediately fell in love with the sport. Father to three little boys, he has a passion for putting people on fish, especially kids. He grew up fishing and has always loved the sport but guiding came into the picture after he met a visitor to the area who was interested in fishing, he invited him to tag along to fish the pier and ended up putting him on his first saltwater fish, a Bonita. Seeing the excitement, he got out of catching that fish gave Alance the first clue that he would enjoy being a fishing guide. Now he is our full-time guide on our 22-foot Bay Boat and is loving being able to turn his passion into his work to support his boys!
